PBX to PBX calls
PBX to PBX calls allow a caller to make a call to a company and at the same time the companies’ employees can make outgoing calls through the PBX system. This is what we mean by PBX to PBX calls.
There is no need for a customer representative or a front office executive who is employed only to pick incoming calls.
Some of the advantages of PBX to PBX call system are:
Call Conferencing – A caller having PBX to PBX call facility can have a 3 way call conferencing. It means that the caller can call 2 persons at the same time and all 3 can speak with each other. This is highly required when dealing with international clients as they can discuss issues instantly.
Call history – The employers of companies having PBX to PBX call system can track the calls made by their employees and restrict them from making unwanted calls which will hinder their performance.
Music on hold – When a caller makes a PBX to PBX call, they are put on hold before connecting to the receiver. During this period, either a normal music is heard when put on hold, while some PBX system even have the leading radio station connected to the PBX system. This will allow the caller to hear songs or news which will entertain them while they are waiting to speak with their client.
Answering Machine – Almost all PBX to PBX call systems come with an answering machine. Each employee will have to record his/her voice through the extension provided which is directly connected to the PBX system. Incase the employee is busy in a meeting or he/she is not available during that period to pick the call, the call automatically gets transferred to an answering machine wherein the caller will have to record his message. The receiver once back can hear the message left by the caller and call back if the situation is urgent. These types of features are not available with normal telephone connections.
Speed dials – Most PBX to PBX calls are provided with speed dials where the company staff can register important number with the speed dial option. Once registered, just by pressing one button, the call is processed. For e.g. if he/she wants to call their boss often, they can configure #1 of the dial pad for speed dial. This way, when they just press #1 from the dialing pad, automatically the call is processed to the registered number. A caller does not need to remember numbers in such cases.
There are plenty of other features when companies opt for PBX to PBX calls. Before going for PBX machines, it is advised to browse on the internet, study its features properly and decide the best suited according to the need.
