Call recording is not a new concept and it involved a lot of equipment previously but now the computer is able to do everything for you. Call recording has been made so simple through the VoIP.
The call storing or recording methods depend upon the nature of your VoIP system. It depends on the factors: is your Voice over Internet Protocol system software or hardware?

Anyone can get its free version but it is better to buy its newer version to enjoy the full features of the product (The free version does not have all the features of the software). Its setup is attached to the Skype window.
The microphone and the headphone, in use, should be of the best quality if you want to hear and record a better voice. The HotRecorder is used to save the conversation. Later, you may play it back to hear it again any time you want. The recording quality may be poorer on the poor equipment but the quality increases if you have better hardware and software for the purpose.
The HotRecorder can work properly with Skype, AIM or G-Talk and most available instant messengers. The audio file is stored in the “elp” format. You may later convert this file to .wav or .mp3 through an audio converter program, if required. An alternative to Hot Recorder is Callcorder. Similarly, TelRex has introduced CallRex Professional. It’s a costly device but has good features for the callers. Another UNIX based device for this purpose is PBXpress Call Recording VoIP PBX. It supports e-911 through a PSTN connection.
