Each alphabet will provide different range in the wireless connection. The higher the alphabet number, it can cover more distance in wireless connection. For e.g 802.11n will give approx. 70 meters range, where as 802.11a might give only 20 to 25 meters range.
Router for VoIP is a necessity. You will require to check the area of usage of your VoIP services. The exact coverage of the wireless range cannot be justified as there are different areas to decide. The 70 meters range for 802.11n router means without any barriers, barriers means there must be no walls and blocks for the internet connection. Filtering – Incase you have kids at home; it is advised to get a router which comes with filtering options, where unwanted websites are filtered directly.
Built-in device support – Some wireless routers come with built-in support for network storage such as external HDD, flash drives or print server.
