Making Calls Worldwide with Telbo
Telbo is a creation of the ground-breaking company, BetaMax. Telbo is also listed under another company, Dellmont Sarl. While there is a connection between the two, BetaMax seems to be trying to re-label itself under the new name. However, that is a story for another time.
This VoIP phone service advertises almost free, unlimited calls worldwide, ranging in price from $1.00 USD on up. Yup, starting at only $1.00 USD you can afford to make unlimited, international phone calls to almost anywhere in the world that you choose.
How can I Use Telbo to Make a Call?
The website provides several ways to make a call, including using their software. You can also make a call utilizing a local access number (phone-to-phone).There is a disadvantage though- Telbo doesn't offer sip-based VOIP service (site doesn’t state any info at this time). However, if you go to sip.telbo.com, you may find something that works for you.
Package Deals
Telbo offers 2 unlimited package deals- one for the US and Canada, and one for worldwide use.
1) US and Canada: With this package, you can connect unlimited calls to either a landline or a mobile phone in the US and/or Canada for only $1.00 USD per month. Luckily, this also applies to the countries of Guam and Puerto Rico. Subscriptions choices are for 3, or 6 months, although you also have the option to subscribe for 1 year as well. With the 3 and 12 months subscriptions, a little extra credit is given, this way you can connect to people outside of your range.
2) World package: The world package includes unlimited calls to only landlines. Here, you can choose from over 36 countries worldwide. As long as you are not making a call to a friend or loved one in either the countries of India or Pakistan, you’re good to go. 3 month, 6 month and 1 year subscription plans are available with this package for less than $6.00 USD a month.
If you do wish to make a call to India, Telbo provides an exceptionally competitive rate of only 2 cents per minute.
Now Let's take a look at a few important points:
A) You can use Telbo to call cell phones as well as home phones , although you are on a limit of 10,000 minutes monthly, and you can’t call more than 6 hours daily. In simpler terms, you are given a little over 300 minutes a day.
B) You cannot connect to more than 50 different numbers in any given day (24-hour period).
C) The moment theses limits are reached, Telbo will begin to charge you an average rate, as well as an additional connection fee for any extra minutes you’ve accrued.
But hey, $1.00 USD for 10,000 minutes worth of calls to the USA and/or Canada seems like a pretty good deal to me. Or how about $5.95 USD to place a call to over 36 countries? The choice is really up to you to decide, but if you would like to find out more about Telbo and download their software.
